There are three roadblocks that are most common when trying to take your life back, battle burnout, increase that energy and confidence that all of us are looking for.
Roadblock#1 : Not knowing where to start.
When this happens, you hit this paralysis by analysis. There’s so many things that you could be doing, that instead of just starting and picking one thing, we don’t do anything.
By knowing where to start, you set yourself along your journey, you start with small steps to build momentum.

Roadblock #2 Doing too much, too soon.
I’ve seen this happen many times in my own life. You get excited about a new goal, you are looking forward reaping the benefits this change will provide for your life, but you take on too many changes all at once.
The problem with doing too much too soon is the new behavior only lasts few days or a week, until the novelty wears off. Eventually you burn out on these new changes because it isn’t practical to work everything into your life right away.
Trying to implement 180 degrees of different behavior all at once tends to be short-lived. It doesn’t set you up for success.
The Stamina Self-Assessment I mentioned above will help you with this roadblock also. Getting specific about where you need to start, and what you need to do is the way to avoid the trap of committing to too much change.
Solution #2: Starting small leads to the big changes.
If you’re willing to be consistent with small effective changes every single day, and slowly learn how to stack habits and over time add more small things, eventually this leads to big changes and big results.
When you start small you’re able to really imprint these things into your life. This way you develop a new identity, a new way of living and being.
Roadblock #3 Time
Time, yeah. All of us are really, really busy. All of us have these full lives.
When I hear from someone that time is their biggest barrier, or they don’t have time to implement the suggestions that I’m giving them I want to know: how are you spending your time?
Ask yourself today: what are you doing with your time, and is it the best use of it?
You can be busy with a lot of things that aren’t important.
There is always going be non-negotiable things in our life that we have to, or want to keep in our schedule. These are our obligations or things that we value as most important.
Solution #3 Audit Your Time and Eliminate Distractions
Use a planner, write it down in a notebook, on your phone, whatever you want: record how you’re spending your time hour-by-hour, every single day for three days.
I promise you, you’re going find that you’re wasting a lot of time.
I know this because I’ve done it myself. I know there are still days, even though I teach this stuff, that I am wasting opportunities.
Time when I could be doing something that’s going propel my business, help aid in personal development, time I could be working out or doing something fun with my daughter.
We are all guilty of sub-optimal use of time. But with practice, we can get better.
Distraction is everywhere. When you’re doing your time audit, I want you to include also, how much time are you spending scrolling through social media, or just aimlessly doing things that aren’t important to your goals?
Once you do that time audit, you’re going find that you do have windows in your schedule for self-development, personal development, and for taking your time and energy back.
After you do that audit and figure out where those windows are, then I want you to start intentionally scheduling that time. Instead of allowing those wasted hours to occur, start using a planner, a scheduler, where you block out time for yourself, and you block out time to actually achieve the goals that you have.
So that’s it, three roadblocks to your success and three solutions to navigate those barriers. With those tools I hope you begin the journey to your success, right now.
